How Online Training Works
Welcome to etrainu online training. This page provides details on how online training works and some general information to assist you in completing your online training.
Online training allows you to complete training at your own pace and at a time which suits you. It is simple to use.
Accredited Training Courses delivered through the Australian Quality Training Framework are made up of a range of Units of Competency. You can complete one or two Units and be recognised as competent in those areas, or you can complete a range of Units and eventually receive a Certificate of Accreditation in a specific field.

Completing Units of Competancy
In delivery of etrainu on line training the Units of Competency in your course are broken into various sections of learning to allow you to focus on one area of learning at a time and to provide flexibility in completion of the course. This just means you don’t have to complete the entire Unit of Competancy in one sitting.
Each section has information which you must read. The content, or information in each section, is the important detail you need to understand in order to complete the assessments. At the end of each section there are a series of questions which you must answer. These questions combine to make up your assessment.
The course content will not be accessible to you while you are answering the questions so be sure that you read the information carefully and answer the questions correctly.
Assessment Types
There are two types of assessments used in etrainu online training.
Multiple choice: Questions where you select the most correct answer from a number of selections.
Integrated Assessment: This assessment may provide real life scenarios or ask you to interpret a scenario based on what you have learned in the training. You will effectively be putting what you have learned into practice. This assessment will generally involve a written response, or may be assessed through your interpretation of a video or written scenario.
Saving your work
At the end of a section you must save your answers. It is important that you complete an entire section and save your answers at the end, or the work you have done will be lost. Ensure you are prepared to allow a minimum of half an hour to complete each section and ensure there are no distractions or disturbances while you are conducting your training.
Results
Once you have completed each section your answers your multiple choice assessment is processed and you are advised if your answers are correct.
In the case of multiple choice questions if answers to any of the questions are incorrect the first time this question will be reset and you will have two additional opportunities to answer again. If your answer/s are incorrect you will be locked out of your course and etrainuSupport will have to unlock your course. This will occur within 1 hour during weekdays and 48 hours on weekends. If your answer is incorrect on your third attempt you may be found to be Not-Yet Competent and may be required to start the training again, including purchasing a new course. The assessor will be ultimately responsible for assessing whether you are Competent if you have been locked out or answer incorrectly.
The set up of the answers will be adjusted on each occasion that you get multiple choice question incorrect and need to try again. Ensure you read and understand all the content information thoroughly. You can view course content while completing the assessment by clicking on the prompt at the top of the page.
The other type of assessment is an integrated assessment which may require you to prepare information in a written format. This must be submitted and is assessed by a qualified person to a set benchmark. If you have concerns regarding preparing written materials please contact us on 07 4721 4222 or via email at hospitalitysupport@etrainu.com. Alternatively the integrated assessment may occur via a video or written scenario.
If your integrated assessment does not meet the required benchmark the first time etrainu will provide you with some feedback and you will be provided with another opportunity to submit your integrated assessment. If your response does not meet the benchmark on the second occasion you may be found to be Not-Yet Competent and may require you to start the training again, including purchasing a new course.
You will be advised regarding your assessment results via email. If your place of employment has registered you for this training your results also will be sent to your employer. (Refer to Participant Handbook later in this section).
A Certificate of Attainment will be sent to those participants successfully completing Units of Competency.
