Coaching
Learn how to effectively coach your Rugby League team in a fun, safe and enjoyable environment.
Both the MGC and IGC will help you develop an understanding of your role as a coach, provide you with ideas and strategies on how you can maximise your effectiveness in skill development by creating a fun, safe and positive training and playing environment.
You will also be required to complete the face-to-face component where you will learn more about the core skills of the game, a variety of skill practices and game-based activities and how to deliver an effective and enjoyable training session.
Both the online and face-to-face component will provide you with the necessary coaching skills to provide players with the best possible Rugby League experience.

Refereeing
Refereeing is a fun, exciting, non-contact way to be involved with Rugby League. Not only do you get to see all the action from the best position on the field, but it's a great way to keep fit, and meet new and interesting people.
This course will teach you the fundamentals of the Referee's involvement in the game. The Course comprises ten units of study, after which you will be directed to your local Referees' Association for some face-to-face* learning. Once you have completed the online and face-to-face sessions, you will have gained the skills and knowledge needed to be a fair and effective referee.
*On completion of ALL ten units, a short face-to-face assessment is required to test skills learnt in the 10 theory modules. More information is outlined in this course.

Leaguesafe
Learn how to apply the correct safety procedures during your involvement in the game as an on-field trainer or on-field "attendant".
This short online Course is designed to create a healthy, safe environment, and is meant to advise and prepare on-field personnel other than Accredited First Aid Officers of what to look for in an injured/ill player, what to do and what not to do until a qualified person arrives, and general safety and care procedures for players.

On completion of ALL units in either the Coaching or Refereeing Courses, you will be required to complete some face-to-face training.
You will receive a Certificate of Achievement once you have completed the online training modules.
You then need to bring your certificate to a relevant Course Provider to conduct your final training session.
This will give you the opportunity to demonstrate the skills and knowledge you have learned through the online training and to further update your knowledge by interacting with other coaches and referees.
Please note that you cannot be marked as competent until you have completed a face-to-face training session with a relevant Provider.
This entails a minimum three hour refresher/update as a pre-appointment session for Referees, and a four hour (approximate) delivery of the remaining modules for the MGC and/or IGC in Coaching.
Click on the Coach or Referee links below to locate your nearest Provider or Association for face-to-face training.
